Round Table: On the Clinic of Psychosis, Today

This event will feature clinicians from New York and Paris who will discuss their perspectives, approaches, and current work with those who are living with psychosis.

Marisa Berwald is a psychoanalytic clinician practicing in New York City, the Director of Research at Pulsion Institute and Rose Hill Clinic, and a participant in the École Freudienne du Québec and Gifric.

Loren Dent is a psychologist practicing in Brooklyn, New York, where he co-directs a training program.  Formerly he was a team leader at a first-episode psychosis program at Lenox Hill Hospital.  He is the editor of DIVISION/Review, a publication of the American Psychological Association, and teaches courses on psychoanalysis at the Brooklyn Institute for Social Research.

Dominique Tourrès Landman is physician-director at the pediatric hospital of Ville d'Avray and clinical director at the anti-addiction center Chimène in Issy-les-Moulineaux. A member of Espace Analytique, she is president of The  House of Adolescents 92. Her many publications include the books Once Upon a Time: Santa Claus, God and Fairies (Albin Michel) and I Have a Teenager at Home: A First Aid Guide.

Patrick Landman is a psychiatrist, child psychiatrist, and psychoanalyst practicing in Paris. Chairman of the scientific board of AEVE (a parents' group for children with autistic disorders), he is an ex-president of Espace Analytique, a researcher at U. de Paris VII, and president of STOP DSM. His most recent books are Tous hyperactifs? L’incroyable épidémie de troubles de l’attention, Tristesse Business—Le scandale du DSM 5, and Marx Lacan.

Ona Nierenberg practices psychoanalysis in NYC. She is a former senior psychologist and director of HIV Psychological ‪Services at Bellevue Hospital and clinical instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at NYU Langone Medical Center. A member and faculty member of Après-Coup, she is also an Overseas Member of APPI, Dublin and an Honorary Member of Lacan Toronto.  Her essays on psychoanalysis and culture have been published internationally. 

Matthew Oyer is a licensed psychologist and psychoanalyst. He is the Co-Director of the Externship program at the Greene Clinic, Assistant Clinical Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine, and Adjunct Supervising Faculty in the clinical psychology doctoral program at City College.
